WELCOME TO

LHS MULTIMEDIA

Multimedia is a Career Technical Program at Lancaster High School that provides junior and senior students with an education in photography, videography, graphic design, and screen printing. Students enter the program their junior year and will spend the entire year in a three period block learning environment at Stanbery Career Center. Upon completion of their junior year, students will return their senior year to the same location and the same learning environment. Over the two years in the program, students will learn through hands on learning experiences that will allow them to create products that will have real world application, such as taking senior photographs, making promotional videos, designing posters, stickers, and artwork for apparel, and screen printing on apparel. Multimedia is a great program for any student interested in the multimedia field, photography, design, screen printing, or just wants to learn something new in a hands-on environment.

More About Multimedia

Below is a more detailed look at what Multimedia students do each year they are in the program.

Multimedia | Junior Year

Junior Multimedia students will begin building their photography and videography skills through various activities, field trips, and experiences that will immerse them in real world applications of these skills. While building their photography and videography skills, students will gain knowledge of art and business and begin to gain knowledge of screen printing, graphic design, and image editing. Much of the knowledge obtained and skills learned will be used in conjunction with each other to create large productions and products.

Junior Courses

  • Photography Composition
  • Video Production

Multimedia | Senior Year

Senior Multimedia students will continue to apply their photography and videography skills while advancing their knowledge and skills in screen printing and graphic design. Like junior year, students will be immersed in a variety of hands on experiences that will help them to master skills both new and old. Multimedia II students will also apply the knowledge and skills they obtained junior year to create professional level productions and products. The goal for Multimedia II students at the end of the program is to have a portfolio full of work they can use for job interviews and admittance into a college level program similar to Multimedia.
